The official capacity of this tent is 9 people, which is fair considering the large floor size of 14 x 9 ft (4.26 x 2.74 m). With that said, the tent doesn’t have any vestibules so you’ll need to take gear storage into consideration.

2. Timber Ridge 8-Person Family Camping Tent
The Timber Ridge is a 2-room 8-person tent in a dome style. The tent is freestanding with 2 doors and 3 windows. We recommend this 2-room tent for summer camping and small families.
Like with most tents of this type, the tent is split in two by securing the divider into place. This creates two rooms that both have their own entry door and own windows. As you can imagine, this feature makes this one of the best 2-room tents for privacy.
The self-supporting tent can be pitched anywhere, although it does come with 14 stakes and 4 guylines, should you need them.
Now, the declared capacity is eight people, although this will be a tight squeeze. The tent covers 112 ft² (10.4 m²), but there are no vestibules, which means your gear will have to be stored inside with you. We recommend this tent for small family camping, but you can squeeze in eight people if you really have to.

The Browning Camping Big Horn Tent is a huge tent built for 8 people. It has 2 doors, 6 windows, and 2 rooms. The rooms are created with a removable divider, and each room has its own door and windows. With its tall structure, I have included it in my list of very tall tents.
The Big Horn is a freestanding tent that can be pitched on any surface. However, with a peak height of 221cm, we recommend using the stakes and guylines when the wind is strong.
With a total floor area of 150 sq ft (13.9 m²), the Browning Big Horn is more than large enough for the 8-person capacity. In fact, it’s one of the largest 2-room tents on the market.
The tent is 3-season – It has a bathtub floor which is crafted from 150D PU coated polyester with an impressive 2000 mm waterproof rating. Although it doesn’t have a full-fly, the rain-fly uses 75D 185T polyester which is a great waterproof material. So, if you’re worried about getting wet, the Big Horn will protect you.

Its weather protection properties are where this tent really shines. In fact, it’s one of the best waterproof 2-room tents. It has a full rain-fly that acts as a protective layer to keep you safe from the elements. Despite being a tall tent, the aerodynamic dome structure behaves well in high-winds. Furthermore, the tent can be staked firmly to the ground. The floor has waterproof rating of 3000mm, while the fly has a rating of1500 mm.
