Here you have our list of the best double hammocks for two people. Please note that while there are many hammocks on the market, not all of them are recommended. As such, all hammocks in this review include features that are ideal for couples camping. Without further ado, let’s get involved.
1. Eagles Nest Outfitters DoubleNest Hammock
With a weight capacity of 400lbs, yet only weighing 19 oz, this is our best hammock for couple backpackers. To further increase portability, the hammock can be stuffed into the attached compression bag after use. In fact, it rolls up to the size of a grapefruit
The ENO hammock creates a secure sleeping area in any area that has trees spaced 10 to 14 feet apart. Even better, the setup and takedown takes less than 5 minutes each time.
Crafted from 70D High Tenacity Nylon Taffeta, this is one of the most durable 2-person hammocks. The hammock measures 9′ 4″ x 6′ 2″ when fully spread out, so there’s easily enough room to fit 2 people.
The only negative is that the suspending straps need to be bought separately. This isn’t a big deal, but it may take some shoppers by surprise. With that said, the tent does come with Aluminum Wiregate Carabiners and nautical grade line with a stainless-steel snap.
2. Fox Outfitters Neolite Double Camping Hammock
Just like the ENO, The Fox Outfitters Neolite Double is one of the lightest double hammocks on the market. However, this comes at a cost, due to the lack of rainfly and bug net. But if you want the lightest 2-person hammock, then this is the one for you. As well as being light, this is one the best-value 2-person hammocks.
Another positive feature of this hammock are the tree straps, that feel a higher-quality than better than others on our list. Although crafted from rope, the straps have protective nylon sleeves which prevent damage to both the hammock and the trees.
3. Kammok Roo Double Camping Hammock
With 10 feet of length and a width of 5’7″, the Roo allows multiple people to sleep in ultimate comfort. The comfort is accentuated by side panels that can make nice head or armrests in the right position. In fact, this may be one the comfiest 2-person hammock tents on the market.
The Roo weighs over 23 ounces, which is heavier than the 19 ounce models in this review. With that said, its large design and strong construction definitely warrant some extra ounces in our packs. In fact, the Roo is the strongest 2-person hammock, with a weight capacity of over 500lbs!
Setting up the Roo hammock is an easy job. All users need to do is clip the carabiners into the anchor. Once you’ve finished camping, the hammock fits snugly inside the attached stuff sack that cinches down with compression straps.
A handy feature that we love is the gear loops found on each side. These loops allow for gear to be easily hung off the ground and away from the dirt.
