1. Ozark Trail Family Cabin Tent

Ozark Trail Family Cabin Tent

This 10-person family camping tent from Ozark has a shape that’s a cross between a dome tent and a cabin-style tent with enough space for a large family or group of friends.

The two doors, two zippered windows, two mesh panels along the roof, and a screened-in porch allow for fantastic panoramic views and great ventilation without letting in bugs. The porch area can serve as a sitting area or provide extra storage space for gear.

This 10 person family tent is water-resistant and the rainfly has sealed seams to keep the interior dry in wet weather conditions. The tent can also have two separate rooms thanks to the detachable room divider that comes with it.

Ozark Trail’s 10-Person Dark Rest Instant Cabin Tent is also worth checking out for those that want a tent that blocks out light and heat.

2. Columbia Mammoth Creek 10 Person Cabin Tent

Columbia Mammoth Creek 10 Person Cabin Tent

Our next spacious tent is the Columbia Mammoth Creek 10 Person Cabin Tent.

This two room tent has a curtain-style room divider that zips open and closed. Toggles on the walls of the tent can be used to hold the curtains open to give you continuous use of all 140 square feet inside the tent.

One room has slanted two pull out windows and another shielded by the rain fly, plus a ground level air vent, to keep the room well ventilated but dry, even in the rain. This room is intended to be used as the primary sleeping space and will fit a queen size air mattress. However, for large groups, you’ll need to use the other room as well.

The other room has large mesh windows that allow it to be used as a screen room. It makes a great living space, but you can close the privacy layer over the windows for privacy and use it as another sleeping area. It will fit an additional queen size air mattress. This room also has a slot in the wall for electrical cord access.

3. Core 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room

Core 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room

With an 84″ center height, the Core 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent is the tallest tent on this list.

“Instant” might be a little generous to describe this tent’s setup, but it is quick and easy, taking 2 minutes or less. The poles are pre-attached to the tent, so all you have to do is unpack and unfold the tent, move the legs into place, and extend the poles. Finally, use the included tent stakes to extend the screen room into place.

If you desire, you can finish up by adding the rainfly and staking down the tent body and fly for extra protection from bad weather.

On clear nights, skip the rainfly and enjoy the gorgeous night sky views and excellent ventilation that the mesh ceiling provides. Even with the fly, the large windows and adjustable ground vents provide plenty of air flow. During downpours, the H20 Block Fabric keeps the inside of the tent dry despite the heavy rain.

The tent has two rooms which are separated by an openable room divider. D-style doors provide access into each room from outside the tent. With or without the divider, the tent fits two queen airbeds.

Core 10-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent

For those who want something a bit more minimalist and affordable, Core makes a similar cabin tent without the screen room or instant setup design, the bright orange Core 10-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent. There’s also a lighted version of the 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent for those who want something extra.

And if you want some extra space, Core also makes 12-person tent versions of the Instant Cabin Tent, the Lighted Instant Cabin Tent, and the Straight Wall Cabin Tent.

4. NTK Arizona GT 9 to 10 Person 17.4 by 8 Foot Sport Camping Tent

NTK Arizona GT 9 to 10 Person 17.4 by 8 Foot Sport Camping Tent

The NTK Arizona GT’s stand out feature is the full coverage rainfly. It’s waterproof and can completely enclose the tent for weather protection, including wicking away moisture and UV protection. Windows and a venting system in the rainfly still provide good ventilation, though.

You can also use the tent without the fly, however, for even better ventilation through through the windows and large mesh panels. The tent’s darkened mosquito mesh keeps out insects while also providing extra privacy when the fly’s not in use.

A gear loft allows you to store items overhead and has a lantern hook to easily illuminate the inside of the tent. (Be sure to check out our Best LED Camping Lanterns recommendations to find a light to hang on it.) The oversized mesh storage pockets allow for easy access to your most important items and even have a built in bottle holder.

The walls and rainfly of this three season tent are made from polyester with a waterproof polyurethane coating. The seamless bathtub-style floor is made of durable high-strength polytheylene and has an antifungal coating. The fiberglass poles are durable, flexible, and color coded for easy setup.

The carry bag has a long zipper to make it easier to put the tent away and compression straps for more space efficient storage.

5. Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent

Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent

Last up is the Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Outdoor Tent.

One of the best features of this tent is the heavy-duty polyethylene bathtub floor and Coleman WeatherTec system for weather protection and durability. This allows users to camp in harsh conditions, even if the heavens surprisingly decide to open (which tend to happen to us campers a lot).

A slight awning in the rainfly over the hinged door and broad side windows keeps rain out while still allowing for air circulation. The angled windows along the upper narrow sides do the same. If you elect to use the tent without the fly, the mesh roof allows even more airflow and provides night sky views from inside the tent.

The WeatherMaster comes with a removable divider so you can section off the interior of the tent into two rooms. Without the divider, the tent has enough room for three queen size air mattresses. With it, however, you’ll only be able to fit one of those air mattresses in each room.

Like our last recommendation, the WeatherMaster has color coded poles, plus pin-and-ring and InstaClip pole attachments, for easy setup. It comes with a one-year limited warranty from Coleman.

Final Thoughts on the Best 10-Person Camping Tents

Each of these high-quality tents is quite roomy, but you probably wouldn’t want to use them for 10 people to actually stay in. Remember, manufacturers determine the number of people a tent will fit by quite literally looking at how many people can lie down in a tent with little room between them and they don’t account for gear at all.

We recommend 10-person tents for groups no larger than eight people, though groups of six and smaller will be more comfortable.
